Replacement UPVC Door Handles
Find the perfect handle for your door, whether you are replacing your existing handles or adding additional security. Upvc handles are simple to install and conform to the required 92mm centres for multipoint locks.
The most important measurements to consider are backplate fixing centres and key hole dimensions and levers. Compare these measurements carefully with your existing measurements prior to placing an order.
Lever/Pad
Lever pad handles are made up of a lever on one side and a handle that is shaped like a paddle on the opposite. These are designed to work with key wind locks, although they can also be fitted to multipoint split spindle door locks (though you will need an additional dual spindle lock case).
Our range of upvc handles lever pads are available in a range of finishes. They will be displayed in the drop-down list after you have selected the right handle for your doors. Not all styles of handles are available in every finish though and you should always look over the sizes and technical drawings for the particular product you're looking for to ensure that you are getting the correct size and fitting.
It is important to ensure that when you choose a new set upvc lever pad handles, they match the PZ (distance from the handle spindle to the center of the hole in the cylinder) of your multipoint door locks. This is because these must be lined up for the doors to stay locked, whether you are viewing them from the inside or outside. The handles we offer are designed to work with a variety of standard cylinder locks, but it is advisable to double-check before making a purchase.
If you wish to upgrade to dual spindle levers you will need to remove the handles you have already installed and take apart the lock case. This will require an extra split cylinder inline. You can purchase these separately. We have included a diagram of the technical aspects in the images of each product.
It is recommended to loosen the screws holding the door handle you have and then examine the mechanism. If the screws aren't tight enough it is possible to loosen them further. Then, you can remove the spindle from the handle and replace it with a new upvc handle. Before you screw the handle into place it is recommended to ensure that it is in the correct position. You can do this by putting your finger into the space between the door frame and the door handle to make sure it is in a level position.
Lever/Lever
Lever door handles function as a multi point lock using an Euro cylinder. They can be found on a majority of double doors made of upvc, aluminum doors and a few wooden doors. They are equipped with an inside lever and a paddle on the outside and are generally available in two types. Sprung - they come with a spring cassette inside the backplate to bring the handle lever into a horizontal position. Non-sprung - they do not have a spring mechanism and will need to be manually pulled to raise the handle lever to the horizontal position.
To fix the door handle of a lever that is sagging you must find the hole for access to the detent or pin, which is usually an elongated or rectangular shape hole or protruding pin situated on one side of the handle base plate. Once you've located it, you can loosen the set screw using a screwdriver and remove it to release the lever, allowing it to return to its horizontal position.
Once the handle is in a horizontal position, you can put the screws back in place and tighten them so that the handle is secured to the base plate. You should also consider applying a threadlocking adhesive solution to the threads of the screw to increase the grip and stop them from loosening over time.
There are a myriad of reasons why lever door handles slide. The most common cause is that the fixings are over tightened, and are putting pressure on the bearings that are causing it to bind against the door face. It could also be that the levers haven't been adjusted at the right angle, which stretches the latch mechanism, preventing it from fully springing into action.
The most common reason for spring levers that are not functioning properly is that the spring is not being in the right position on the backplate. The most effective way to determine this is to turn the handle and see whether it returns to its horizontal position.
If your door handles are loose, it is important to identify the issue fast, as this could lead to excessive wear on the screws and possibly to the handle falling off the base plate. It is recommended to tighten all loose screws on a regular basis to help to stop them from loosening.

This could be due to various reasons but the most prevalent is the lack of lubrication on the latch plate. It is possible to fix this issue by opening the door and spraying lubricant onto the lock and handle. It could also be that the latch has slipped away from the backplate.
